An article in the Volkskrant by Anna van Leeuwen was my first introduction to the structural exclusion of women in art. I can appreciate her terminology of Old Mistresses, rather than Old Masters. And in line with the report of Women Inc. Pollock stresses in the interview that it is important to share how women are experiencing the world and not only share the experiences of men.
