Having decided to work with paper and the subject of flowers it made sense to make paper flowers. 

It is very labour intensive making realistic flowers. Every petal and leave needs individual attention for colouring and shaping. They are also sensitive to light exposure, moist and touch. 

I look at actual flowers and have them withered to look at their construction and use the book of Tiffany Turner for support. 

During the process I have learned a lot about the different types and weights of paper required to make nice flowers.
