Rachel Ruysch

After Rachel Ruysch’ paintings I wanted to make a vase for the paper flowers.

I feel sorry to admit that I only really learned her name as result of this research. Until now I could not name historic women artists either. I would even struggle with contemporary.

Learning about her work and looking at it closely makes me appreciate it highly and I will use every opportunity I have to mention her name. She deserves recognition and visibility.
